How We Coach

As a Nationally Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach, I bring a whole-person approach rooted in evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing, Behavior Change Theories, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness. My coaching addresses the interconnected aspects of mental well-being—mind, body, and spirit—empowering you to create sustainable growth and success.
Each session is built on a foundation of my core values: community, inclusion, communication, authenticity, play, mastery, and honesty. With a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach, I’ll guide you in cultivating resilience, sharpening focus, and unlocking your full potential.

Coaching v. Therapy
Coaching is an evidence-based field that helps individuals create meaningful change in their lives. While Therapy diagnoses and treats mental health conditions according to the DSM-V.
I often describe coaching and therapy as siblings—similar in some ways but distinct in others. Therapy typically addresses unresolved emotional conflicts, often rooted in the past, that are currently affecting an individual’s well-being. In contrast, coaching focuses on where you are now, helping you build the future you desire by setting goals, developing strategies, and enhancing health & well-being.
As a Nationally Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach, I am committed to maintaining professional standards and staying within my scope of practice. In some cases, it may be necessary to refer clients to therapy for deeper emotional support. With approval from a therapist, coaching and therapy can work in tandem to provide the best possible care and help you achieve holistic well-being.

My approach is rooted in whole-person health, focusing on the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. I help clients envision their ideal selves and guide them in taking small, intentional steps toward their goals, creating sustainable change that aligns with their values and life circumstances.
With a Master of Arts in Integrative Health & Well-Being Coaching from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado-Boulder, I bring both academic expertise and practical experience…
