my story

Hello, My Name is Jamie Hazelton

As a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) with over a decade of experience in health and athletic coaching, I support two core populations: individuals experiencing stress, overwhelm, or life transitions who are seeking clarity and direction, and those looking to enhance mental performance, focus, and alignment in pursuit of high-level goals. My approach is rooted in whole-person health, honoring the connection between mind, body, and spirit, and guiding clients through intentional steps that lead to meaningful, sustainable change.

I hold a Master’s in Integrative Health & Well-Being Coaching from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado-Boulder. My coaching is evidence-based, client-centered, and tailored to each individual’s strengths, life experiences, and goals.

Along side my private practice, Whole You Health, I serve as adjunct faculty at the University of Houston and Northwestern Health Sciences University, I teach graduate-level courses in Integrative Health Coaching grounded in NBHWC standards and inclusive, client-led approaches.

Before focusing fully on health and well-being coaching, I spent nearly a decade coaching collegiate hockey, including NCAA Division I, Division III, and ACHA Division I, and served as a 3x USA Hockey National Development Camp Coach. This experience deepened my appreciation for mental well-being of athletes, performance under pressure, and the importance of alignment of values.

I work with individuals across the mental well-being spectrum—from those navigating identity shifts, life transitions, and stress to those seeking to enhance focus, mental performance, and purpose-driven growth. My clients include professionals, athletes, LGBTQ+ individuals, and others looking to develop coping tools, gain clarity, and create meaningful, sustainable change.

Outside of coaching, I’m often outdoors—paddleboarding, skiing, or spending time with loved ones. I believe well-being grows through connection, movement, reflection, and living in alignment with what matters most. Let’s connect and explore how coaching can support your next chapter.

Jamie has helped me separate my work life and home life.  I feel I now have the tools to leave work at work and have purpose at home.

Coaching has allowed me to overcome the hurdles and has given me the opportunity to live again.

It is cool to see behavior change come in a natural way to break bad habits… and discovering the importance of my purpose, which is a huge thing!..  Health coaching is not what I expected, but it was a wonderful experience.
